Nicole Ari Parker was born in New York City. The actress is American stage and film actress. Contractor who was born and raised by his parents in Nigeria and Mumbai when he was 7, had traveled across the globe and lived through many cultures as a child. When she was seven to nine, the young lady attended boarding schools in London. Her family relocated to Toronto which she stayed in for most of her childhood. Contractor studied and became a dancer of classical style in Toronto. She went to the Etobicoke School of the Arts. This is a specialized high school that teaches arts where she did not only take classes in theater but also performed as well. Contractor was just 16 when she realized that acting was going to be her career. Dance was her passion for almost 10 year. After graduating high school, Contractor was awarded a scholarship by The University of Toronto to pursue the dual field of psychology and sociology. She also earned a master's degree in Theater. Following a semester at the University, Contractor went to an audition on a call-to-action basis for the show Pericles at the prestigious famous, world-class Stratford Shakespeare Festival [Ontario, Canada and got the role of lead. After two weeks of performances, she got glowing reviews. The production was recognized as the top production in Canada by reviewers. The actor was invited to take part in the conservatory program, where a select eight men as well as four women can be accepted to take a crash course of 20 weeks on classical theater which she gladly accepted. Contractor's place in the following play season was secured and she was offered the part of Hermia.
